Vadim Zanginian's Biography

Vadim was born in Armenia in 1965. He graduated from Art and Theatre Institute (1984-1989), trained in Russian Academic Traditions. He was most influenced by his favorite painters Michelangelo, Velasquez, Repin, Sargent, Khanjin, Serov, Rockwell, Fechin, Stepanian and Schmid.

In 1991 Vadim won first prize for the best advertisement design at the Professional Competition of ATV.

In 1992 he had his show in International Art & Theatre Society and immigrated to the United States to pursue a Masters degree in Fine Arts. Between 1994-2003 Vadim worked in California as a Graphic Designer. He made logos and posters for rock singers Paul McCartney, Cher and The Moody Blues. Then he provided his graphic skills to companies like Guess, Harley Davidson and Hard Rock Cafe. Over the years Vadim has worked out a fast learning program for Academic Drawing and Painting. Currently he is implementing his program as an art instructor at the Academy of Figurative Art (LAAFA). Vadim is a very skilled and passionate painter. He uses a limited palette and strives to have his finished painting appear as a first impression of the artist.

We are very proud to represent Vadim Zanginian a very talented contemporary artist who has studied the Classical Russian Academic Tradition.
